WASHINGTON, DC -- Yesterday, Representative Rosendale, joined by twenty-nine of his Republican colleagues, sent a letter to the Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, urging him to take action and fight back against the creeping left-wing extremism in the U.S. military.

“The military’s long history of standing above politics has made it one of the most respected institutions in America and enabled our armed forces to both defend the Homeland and serve as one of the bulwarks of our constitutional order. That legacy is now in jeopardy,” Representative Rosendale wrote.

The letter describes three recent examples of our military’s politicization from left-wing extremism.

“The United States military cannot afford to have politicized military leaders push their deranged wokeness on our fighting force. Our military is steeped in tradition and tenacity that has made us revered around the world. Its sole purpose is to defend our great nation and extinguish enemy threats. These sorry attempts to indoctrinate our forces with left-wing extremism not only weakens our mission but undermines the very security of our nation,” Representative Biggs said.

“The purpose of our military is to defend our nation against all threats, not promote progressive ideology within the military. The promotion of left-wing extreme ideals is a threat to the legacy and reputation of our military, as well as the safety and security of our nation,” Representative Steube said.

“Patriots who love our country are being purged from government and our armed forces. Mr. Biden and Bishop Garrison are prioritizing bigotry and anti-white racism over national security. It’s unacceptable and my constituents demand accountability,” Representative Gosar said.

"The willingness to serve, protect, and defend our nation is a commitment worthy of honor and esteem, not suspicion and slander. Despite some officers at the highest level and some members of Congress who do everything for political purposes, our military defends us regardless of political persuasion,” Representative Gohmert said. “As we approach Memorial Day, we should take this time to pay tribute to the men and women who have and continue to sacrifice their lives for our country regardless of their political persuasion. Perhaps one day even progressives will judge our military members by their heroism and not by the color of their political party.”

“Woke left-wing ideology, especially Marxism disguised as so-called ‘critical race theory,’ has no place in our military or our country. Period.” Representative Greene said.

“Patriotic Americans cannot stand idly by watching the politicization of our armed forces. George Washington—first a general, then a president—relinquished his commission before entering office. A truly visionary leader, he recognized the perils of a politically biased military. Our men and women in uniform are not lab rats in a social science experiment. We would do well to follow George Washington’s lead.” Representative Weber said.

“Americans must think about this wokeification of our military not as an end unto itself, but rather as a means to a more sinister end,” Representative Gaetz said. “The Left wants to take control of the full national security apparatus and turn it against our people. This should alarm us all.”

“Removing Lt. Col. Lohmeier was just the beginning of the Biden Administration’s efforts to radically reshape our military. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, along with his henchman and 1619 project activist Bishop Garrison, are subjecting members of the military to Critical Race Theory style training and radical Leftist politics, while silencing any dissent. Our troops take an oath to defend the Constitution; they should never be subjected to a doctrine that trashes what our nation stands for.” Representative Bishop said.
