Rep. Rosendale Introduces Legislation Protecting 2nd Amendment Rights of Veterans

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman Matt Rosendale (MT-02) introduced the Veterans Gun Rights Protection Act of 2024, which would permit veterans, staff, and visitors to practice their 2nd amendment right of carrying a firearm in Department of Veterans Affairs facilities.

“No veteran should face the risk of not receiving medical care because they are simply exercising their Second Amendment right,” said Rep. Rosendale. “Veterans laid their lives on the line to defend the Constitution, stripping those rights from them because they walk in a government building is heinous and unjust. The rights of our veterans must be protected!”

This legislation is co-sponsored by: Rep. Good (VA-05), Rep. Breechen (OK-02), Rep. Boebert (CO-03), Rep. Babin (TX-36), Rep. Moore (AL-02), Rep. Norman (SC-05), Rep. Clyde (GA-09), Rep. Crane (AZ-02), and Rep. Ogles (TN-05).
