Rep. Rosendale Votes Against FY25 DOD Appropriations Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman Matt Rosendale (MT-02) voted against H.R. 8774 - Department of Defense Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2025. While this appropriations bill has some provisions that would make our military a more effective fighting force and provide a much-needed pay raise for our service members, Rep. Rosendale could not support the bill as it provided funding for IVF procedures with taxpayer dollars.

“While my heart aches for couples struggling to conceive children, taxpayer dollars should not go towards funding the practice of IVF, which destroys more children each year than Planned Parenthood,” said Rep. Rosendale. “Without a second thought, our military servicemembers deserve the resources to carry out their missions and live healthy lives. However, as someone who strongly believes that life begins at conception, I cannot in good conscience vote for a bill that funds a practice that destroys, abandons, and allows hundreds of thousands of innocent lives to be experimented on. Congress must utilize the appropriations process to stop taxpayer funding from being used to kill children!”
