Rep. Rosendale Applauds Resignation of Director Cheatle and Demands Further Investigation

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman Matt Rosendale (MT-02) released the following statement after Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle resigned due to security failures that occurred under her watch, which led to the nearly successful assassination attempt against President Donald Trump on July 13, 2024.

“While I am pleased that Director Cheatle has taken responsibility for the dreadful failures of the Secret Service, we still must have a complete investigation to identify the problems and make sure this never happens again,” said Rep. Rosendale.
