Rep. Rosendale Rejects Uniparty NDAA

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Matt Rosendale (MT-02) voted against the Senate amendment to H.R. 5009 - Servicemember Quality of Life Improvement and National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025 (NDAA) due to the legislation’s failures to end wokeness in our military and protect the sanctity of life. He released the following statement after voting against the bill:

“Our military is the most effective fighting force in the world, and anything that does not help support that mission is a distraction. I thank our servicemembers who put everything on the line to defend our freedoms. However, Americans should never be forced to fund military practices that aid servicemembers in aborting their children,” said Rep. Rosendale. “This NDAA fails to terminate the current military abortion travel policy, continues biased diversity, equity, and inclusion practices and positions at the Pentagon, and does nothing to prohibit taxpayer funded transgender surgeries for those serving. On top of all of that, it continues to fund the heinous practice of indefinite detainment of American citizens. This legislation is not only unserious but also unconstitutional.”
