WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman Matt Rosendale (MT-02) issued the following statement in response to the indictment of President Trump by Special Counsel Jack Smith.

“This sham indictment is a blatant attempt by Biden's Department of Injustice to tamper with our elections," said Rep. Rosendale. "I urge my House and Senate colleagues to immediately support Rep. Gaetz's bill, as I have, to defund this witch hunt."

Congressman Rosendale is a cosponsor of H.R. 4707, introduced by Rep. Matt Gaetz (FL-01). This legislation would strip federal funding for Special Counsel John “Jack” L. Smith’s office following his politically motivated investigation into President Trump.
