WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman Matt Rosendale (MT-02), released the following statement after the Biden administration announced its new effort to force an electric vehicle mandate by 2030.

“This recent announcement by the Biden administration is overreaching, unnecessary, and will be excessively costly to all those who wish to buy a reliable vehicle in the future,” said Rep. Rosendale. “Biden’s move is rooted in a ploy to funnel billions of dollars to his radical Green New Deal friends in forms of subsidies at the taxpayer's expense, all while crippling our auto industry and continuing war on American energy. This proposed rule is a national disgrace, and Biden must withdraw this effort immediately.”
