Chairman Rosendale Demands Answers from VA on PIT Program

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Chairman Matt Rosendale (MT-02), led the House Veterans Affairs Committee, Subcommittee on Technology Modernization Oversight hearing titled: "VA’s Open Cash Register: Fraud, Waste, Abuse and Revenue Operations."

Chairman Rosendale discussed the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Program Integrity Tool (PIT), which consolidates community care payment data to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse and to manage billing for non-service-connected care. Chairman Rosendale demanded the need for the VA to provide answers and accountability, especially given the looming $12 billion shortfall in the Veterans Health Administration’s (VHA) budget for next year.
