Rep. Rosendale Votes Against FY22 Omnibus Spending Package

Washington, D.C. - Tonight, the House of Representatives voted on and passed the House Amendment to the Senate Amendment to H.R. 2471, Consolidated Appropriations Act. This $1.5 Trillion spending package for the remainder of fiscal year 2022 is fiscally irresponsible and fails to address the many crises facing our nation. This omnibus package increases funding for big government programs, without addressing the real needs of the American people. The Democrats’ bill provides over $1 billion for refugee assistance, millions of dollars for climate change and Green New Deal activities, continued funding for vaccine mandates and Planned Parenthood, and further inflates our already out of control national debt, which has surpassed $30 trillion. “This year’s omnibus spending package is just another wish list fulfilled for the Radical Left to expand the size of the federal government while ignoring the needs and priorities of Americans,” said Representative Rosendale. “It is far past time to rein in federal spending and start paying off our national debt, and the American taxpayer deserves a government that is fiscally responsible and prioritizes their needs.” |
