Rep. Rosendale Introduces Bill Authorizing $5 Million for Butte Veterans Home

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman Matt Rosendale (MT-02) introduced legislation that will authorize $5 million for the operation of the Southwest Montana Veterans’ Home in Butte, Montana. Congressman Rosendale’s bill would redirect funds from the Secretary of Veterans Affairs’ disastrous effort to carry out the Electronic Health Modernization program and instead spend that money improving healthcare outcomes for veterans in southwest Montana.

“Throughout my time in Congress, I have made it my mission to ensure veterans have the best healthcare possible,” said Rep. Rosendale. “As Chairman of the VA Subcommittee on Technology Modernization, I can tell you that federal funds will be put to far better use at the Southwest Montana Veterans’ Home than trying to fix the disastrous Electronic Health Modernization program. I’m proud to introduce this bill that will provide millions in new funding for veterans in Butte and ensure that America lives up to its promise to take care of our nation’s heroes.”
