Rep. Rosendale Rejects D.C. Cartel Minibus
Washington,
March 6, 2024
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman Matt Rosendale (MT-02), voted against H. Res. 1061, The 2024 Consolidated Appropriations Act. “I just walked off of the floor of the House of Representatives and Congress has now passed yet another minibus to fund government for another year. This minibus is going to cover six of the appropriation bills. It contains about 2000 pages of documents, it is $513 billion in spending, of which, about $12 billion is earmarks that different members have inserted into this legislation. This was passed without a rule which means that there was no debate and discussion on the floor and again I will tell you, this is not a responsible and transparent way to fund government. Talk about a broken system, this is the broken system.” |
