WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman Matt Rosendale (MT-02) released the following statement regarding his vote against H. Res. 1102, the Further Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2024.
You can hear Rep. Rosendale’s remarks on the bills’ passage by clicking on the picture below:
“I'm just now leaving the Capitol after witnessing Republicans join with the Democrats in true uniparty fashion and pass yet another $1.2 trillion spending bill.
“This bill funds the weaponization of government against us and spends more money than Nancy Pelosi did during her tenure. If there's any high point it is that there was only $2 billion worth of earmarks inserted into this spending package, unlike the last that included $12 billion for the special interest spending and earmarks that were sandwiched in there.
“It's a disgrace, this bill does nothing to secure our border and it continues to jeopardize the security of our nation.”
