WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the House of Representatives began debating the Fiscal Year 2025 Military, Construction, Veterans Affairs, And Related Agencies Appropriations Act. Congressman Matt Rosendale (MT-02) filed in support of the following amendment: Amendment 63.
“All life has inherent value, and genetic testing nearly guarantees the creation and destruction of embryos in the pursuit of the “perfect” child,”said Rep. Rosendale. “There are millions of children in need of parents who would love to be adopted. I would rather have the VA spend these funds to make it easier for veterans to adopt children.”
Amendment 63: Would prohibit funds made available by this Act from being used for certain types of assisted reproductive technologies by the Department of Veterans Affairs to ensure additional guardrails are in place.
